We&#8217;ll take care of the rest.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>One of the best things about running <a href=\"http:\/\/likelike.org\" target=\"_blank\">LIKELIKE<\/a>\u00a0is that it provides plenty of excuses and deadlines to make small, experimental side projects that go beyond the digital form.<br \/>\nGuilty Smells was made for <a href=\"http:\/\/likelike.org\/2019\/08\/21\/analog-pleasures\/\" target=\"_blank\">Analog Pleasures<\/a>, an ambitious show of games employing unusual hardware. It&#8217;s a collaboration with my CMU colleague and LIKELIKE conspirator <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heather_Kelley\" target=\"_blank\">Heather Kelley<\/a>, who has been producing smell-based and multi-sensorial experiences for several years.<\/p>\n<p>Guilty Smells (re)uses a custom made, 8 channel scent diffuser created by a team of Concordia University students for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidsomiahclark.com\/deathwhiff-1\" target=\"_blank\">different project<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe software was put together in a mere week thanks to Fernando Ramallo&#8217;s animation tool<a href=\"https:\/\/fernandoramallo.itch.io\/doodle-studio-95\" target=\"_blank\"> Doodlestudio 95<\/a>, which allows to draw and animate sprites directly in Unity, simplifying the workflow in a major way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;The Government has taken a major step in opposing foreign influence in our way of life.
