Design or glitch a scarf as it&#8217;s being made, wear your artful errors with pride.<\/p>\n<p>The project is a collaboration with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop\/InfiKnitLooop\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tenley Schmida<\/a>. It was for the most part developed during a 3-day game jam at the <a href=\"https:\/\/textiles-lab.github.io\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carnegie Mellon University Textiles Lab<\/a>\u00a0(the makers of the award winning embroidery game <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rockpapershotgun.com\/2016\/10\/17\/threadsteading\/\" target=\"_blank\">Threadsteading<\/a>).<br \/>\nThis is possibly the only software that allows the creation of knitting patterns on the fly, as opposed to feeding a machine with a static image.<\/p>\n<p>GlitchScarf was made with an <a href=\"http:\/\/ayab-knitting.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">AYAB<\/a> (All Yarns Are Beautiful) board, <a href=\"https:\/\/processing.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Processing<\/a>, and a Brother KH910.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GlitchScarf is a playful performance and a system to mess with knitting patterns in real time.
